The Vancouver Applied Arts Center provides art related employment opportunities for women in Vancouver. The focus of this art centre is on applied arts as its direction where we take an ordinary object and turn it into something extraordinary through decorative art. We supply decorative functional art for corporate fundraisers, weddings, golfing events, etc. Please contact me for the details: by email: email@example.com.
Our First Art Project – silk scarves
We hand painted silk scarves for approximately 100 breast cancer survivors who attended the Nite of Hope foundation gala dinner held in Vancouver on April 16, 2015. This project was made possible by generous financial gifts from contributors locally and around the world. Thank you! Thank you!
Our Second Art Project – denim bags & hats
We took old used denim jeans, and other orphaned clothing, and turned all the good parts into beautiful summer hats and beach bag. The sun hats were fully lined and reversible, meaning you would get two hats for the price of one. The denim bags were fully lined as well, with numerous pockets, and some closing with full length zippers.
Our Third Art Project – umbrellas
Living in Vancouver, BC, we know it will rain, and rain, and rain once the rainy season starts. Super cool hand painted umbrellas for winter, and of course, awesome looking patio umbrellas for summer.
